Our Year 4 Writing Program is a full-year, Bible-rich curriculum designed especially for Christian homeschool families who want simple, structured, beautiful lessons that actually work.
With just three 30-minute lessons per week, your child will learn every major writing skill required for Year 4 of the Australian Curriculum v9, all taught through a warm, living-book approach and a strong Christian worldview.
 
This program teaches writing slowly, clearly and joyfully, supporting children who have never had formal writing instruction before and helping confident writers grow even further.
Across four carefully crafted terms, students learn:
 
✨ Term 1 — Narrative Writing
Your child discovers the craft of storytelling using The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe as a rich mentor text. They learn how beginnings, problems, climaxes and resolutions work — and write a complete, polished story of their own.
 
✨ Term 2 — Informative Writing & Bible Biographies
Students learn to research, take notes, organise information and write clear factual texts. They create information reports, mini essays and biographies of Bible figures such as Daniel, Esther, Ruth and Paul.
 
✨ Term 3 — Persuasive Writing & Christian Worldview Thinking
Children learn to express their opinions confidently and respectfully. They write persuasive paragraphs, letters and short essays while exploring Christian virtues, parables and moral choices through Scripture.
 
✨ Term 4 — Poetry & Creative Bible Responses
A beautiful creative term! Students explore poetry, imagery, psalm-style writing, thankfulness poems and creative reflections on Scripture.

A Poetry and Prayer Book Template is included at the back of Term 4 so they can publish a meaningful keepsake of their favourite pieces.
