You are the light!!!

You are the light for your children. In this world that seems so void of light at times, we can question how we can protect our children and keep them joy-filled, positive and loving. In a world that seems to promote hatred and fear, we can wonder how we can encourage our children to stay strong and fearless.

Simply being you is the best way. You are a light for your children. As you walk around your day pointing out the beauty in the world, joyfully greeting people, giving your children those soft yet beautiful touches, sharing words of encouragement and love with your children and those around you, teaching your children about Jesus and how much he loves them and just being you, the light of Jesus shines out of you and the darkness cannot touch it.

Just like when you enter a dark room and turn on a light, the darkness is gone. Dark cannot overcome light, darkness flees before light. John 1:15 says "The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.” It is the same for your children. We so desperately want to protect our children, and let me encourage you to let you know you already are. You protect your children just by being you, being the light they need. Every time you read your bible, pray and worship your light grows stronger and that light encompasses your children.

Your children were born for such a time as this, and you were chosen to be their parent. You do not need to fear for your children in this world because you have already overcome it. Remember that we do not need to fear, we have the ultimate warrior on our side.
